Robert & Debby Lugar have developed a love for and understanding of missionaries during the years they have been ministering and caring for Christian workers in Europe. They have a reputation for providing a place of safety with gifted and skilled counseling, and have considerable experience in pastoring and church-planting, administration, leadership training and consultation, as well as counseling.

Dr. Robert Lugar’s training in psychology and counseling includes two postgraduate degrees.  His professional affiliations include membership in the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the American Association of Christian Counselors of which he is a charter member. Robert serves as the Chairman & Director of One Another Ministries.

Debby Lugar has a unique gift of hospitality and the ability to minister to guests by showing them love and a warm welcome.  She and Robert, have 25 years of ministry experience in pastoring, church-planting, theological education, administration, and counseling. Debra serves in Client Relations and as Secretary for the Board of Directors of One Another, France.

Ministry Update

We are right in the middle of throwing some clothes in a duffle, and getting ready to head to the airport in just a few hours.  But we wanted to take just a minute to ask you for speacial prayer for our team this week, and during the next couple weeks.

Debby and I will be in Spain meeting with missionaries from throughout western Europe.  Some are North Americans, but many originate from around Europe or from other regions of the world.  All are giving their lives to share the gospel in this spiritually dark place.  Debby and I have been asked to provide training to the group to help build skills and increase effectiveness in ministry.  We will also be meeting privately with many of the missionaries who are facing struggles in their lives and ministries.  We know these are God's servants, and that only He can provide lasting help.  Please pray for rest, clarity, and discernment as we seek to be used by God.  And pray that the Christian workers attending will be strengthened and encouraged.

Then in the next couple weeks our colleague Irene Lange will be in Kenya providing training and help for a number of African Christian workers.  And Dorcas Harbin will be hosting the next phase of the "Shoulder to Shoulder" initiative at our newly refurbished training center.  This is a multi-agency initiative aimed at strengthening the ministries of the many singles serving in mission.  This is exciting both because of the tremendous impact of singles around the world, and because it is the first major event being held in the the new facilities.

We thank you for your prayers during the move and the refurbishing.  Much remains to be done, and no room is completely finished yet.  But we feel we are just beginning to make out a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.  We hope to be fully operational within the next couple months.  And in the meantime, God continues to bring ministry oportunities.
